I know, I know. It's pretty early to be talking about this. I noticed that MDT is plowing out our side of the pass. I was wondering if they let you drive up it once they get to the state line or if I would have to wait until the entire pass is open. Still itching for some snow under my feet,

Once the road from Crandell, WY is plowed to the gate at Long Lake (just past Top of the World), it's game on for park-n-ride snowkiting in the Beartooths. Most year's that plowing is accomplished by the Park Service by the first of May.
Looks like everything is on schedule for park-n-ride in the Beartooths sooon...
I'll be there Noah! Just got out of BC for a snowkiting trip! So the west side of the park is the best option, not coming through the red lodge side?
I got friends I wanted to see in Red Lodge thats all. Trying to work out if theres a way through from that side... I'll keep an eye on the state highways website anyway.
